ok for some reason you have the app installed to a directory in programe files, this app is kinda stand alone and can be run from anywere (ie by double clicking the .exe file) so i recomend uninstalling the app, download the latest learning view, unzip it so you have the learningview.exe just sitting on the desktop, and double click the .exe and it should run from the desktop.
let me know how you get on, and is that windows98? or just classic desktop setting lol

Just started learning about learning view a couple of days ago and plugged in tonight. I see that I am pulling some timing primarily in the low load/rpm range. Being that I'm new to this tool, I would assume that this can be corrected by lowering my base timing in the cooresponding load/rpm cells. As far as the AF learning goes. I'm not entirely sure how to address these correction values. I've still got some reading to do, but in the mean time wanted to see if anyone could point me in the right direction until I get it figured out. Thanks for any input.

Yes you could remove a bit of base timing. Do you have any modifications to your car? Quote: As far as the AF learning goes... ... but in the mean time wanted to see if anyone could point me in the right direction These values look good. Personally I would only be concerned if they were very high (+ or - 10 or more) or the last cell 'D' Range (50.00+) was negative. Here's a resource you could review: http://web.njit.edu/~trb2/WRX/download/<<<<<<<< As well as the "Documentation" noted in the links to the left .

Just wondering if I changed timing and O/L AFR value, does it affect my LV learning on D-range?
Well, here is what happened, 05 STi, 94 oct, stock STi sidefeed injectors 503cc with blkscooby's APS 65mm 32 bit WB MAF scale; I used 11.40 O/L AFR for 2 hours highway MAF rescaling (after installing K&N filter for my APS 65mm, cleaning my MAF sensor, dry road condition), LV looked perfectly for couple weeks (A,B,C range around +0.5, D-range always stayed at 0)...Did couple WOT pulls, D-range still showing 0 up till last wekeend)
I re-touched the base timing a bit, richen up a bit to 11.20 O/L AFR, drove the car for couple days, find out D-range was -4.6 ??!!. Reset ECU, doublecheck intake, no leak found, cleanup MAF sensor, drove for couple days, sometimes -5.1, some times -2.4 still, reset ECU, drove for 15mins learning, found out after 40 g turned to -2.34 again.
Do I need to redo the C/L maf re-scale again with the new 11.20 AFR timing map, or do I have to check everything make sure no pre-turbo leak again?
Please advise, thanks!

Please advise, thanks! Leaks will have more effect at the lower ranges (A/B/C). Do you drive much above 3200 rpm at steady throttle? I ask because the pre '08 STi can have rpm dependent fuel trims. The most recent one that I looked at had a large swing near 3300rpm. It had the AEM CAI (and larger injectors). Around 3300 RPM, the A/F corrections would swing through a large range at the same MAF voltage, depending on the manifold pressure. You can collect fuel trim data to check if there is any RPM dependence. topic5483.html

^ will give a try on that soon. Just did another MAF re-scaling since I believe blkscooby's APS MAF was tuned on Amsoil air filter, and I just replace my old amsoil with K&N one

Hey guys, I was wondering, I haven't read all 41 pages of this tread, but just wanted to check in to see if this LV is looking good? Are these LV looking good? Is it normal to have negative numbers in the A/F Learning #1? i know its not good to have negative numbers for FLKC,but for the A/F i'm not sure! Thanks JP

It looks fine, no serious problems showing up.

Negative means the ECU is removing a bit of fuel to keep the mixture at 14.7:1. Keep an eye on the 40+ (D) range. That value is applied to open loop fueling as well. If it continues to creep more negative then maybe a MAF scaling check would be in order.

I updated my ROM to the latest available for an '05 WRX MT (A4TF810F) and just found out this morning that the current version of LV doesn't support it. I just swapped out the injectors over the weekend and I'm planning a turbo install next weekend. I had a CEL turn on this morning that I'm unable to read. Is the next release close enough for me to wait or should I jump back to the previous ROM version for now? AFAIK A4TF810F has been submitted to the logger and defs forum. It has support in RR and ecuflash. Thanks for all the wonderful effort you put toward helping the rest of us help ourselves!

sorry, I haven't had any time to work on it and I don't know when I will. Been back into the house hunting possibly house building mode on the weekends which leaves me no time. However, it is about 95% done with all the new features - there are quite a few changes which is why it is taking so much time.
