Hi, here's a new release candidate, RC4, containing:

* LM-2 MTS support
* Single Innovate Wideband plugin for serial devices (LC-1, LM-1, LM-2)
* Auto saving/loading of external sensor ports
* Updated installer

Note that LM-2 MTS support is a bit flaky for me. Give it a go and let me know what issues you have. LM-1 serial support also needs testing with the new consolidated Innovate wideband plugin.

Download: REMOVED

See topic5551.html for RC5 test release...

I'm not positive this is an issue with this revision as I haven't gone back to the previous one to test yet, but I notice my LC-1 is randomly showing a 6.4 or 7.35. I don't recall seeing this prior to today after upgrading to RC4, but I just checked a few logs from yesterday and there were no instances of 6.4 or 7.35 showing up in any logs.

I'm pretty sure he meant "romraider.log" in the installation directory. It has important information on what RomRaider is doing, along with the environment settings. If there is something wrong with the way RomRaider is connecting to the LC-1, it will hopefully be indicated there.

Paul, is there any chance of the next release candidate including better management of connection/dropouts - as in if your openport cable drops out (for whatever reason) it handles the dropout differently to how it does now?

I ask this because I randomly have dropouts and it freezes RR logger and locks(?) the COM port until I disconnect/reconnect the openport cable and restart RR Logger.

I suspect the dropouts are OBD2 voltage related, but if management of the dropout could be changed/improved so that it releases the COM port and polls it until it is available again and reconnects automatically, the dropout wouldn't be that much of a problem (ie. I can live with losing a couple minutes of logging, but coming home after 30 minutes of logging to find that RR Logger froze a few minutes after it started is a little frustrating).

Anything to help would be appreciated.

Leslie

This requires a special cable, not the standard USB-cable for the LM-2?

Edit: I guess an optional cable is needed. Anyone making a com-cable for the LM-2?

No special cable is required for the LM-2. You can try it with the USB cable via the mts plugin or via a combination of serial cables (see topic3942.html ). The mts plugin also requires that you have logworks3 installed.

I tried with the USB and "LM-2 (MTS)" selection, but didn't seem to get a connection. Selecting the LM-1, Romraider logger asks for a Com-port. The LM-2 (MTS) selection does not. The connections when I tried was COM3: Innovate LM-2, COM5 Tactrix OpenPort 2.0.

The Tactrix connected fine in the logger, but I had no luck with the LM-2.
You mentioned the "MTS plugin". Is that some external program/driver I need?

Thanx for making this work with the LM-2! Been waiting for this a long time :)

The MTS plugin refers to the component in the RR logger that was written to support the LM-2 via its USB interface. The code is based on initial work done by Fiend and requires you to have Innovate's LogWorks3 installed.

You shouldn't need to select any COM ports for the OP2.0 cable or the LM-2 if connecting via USB. For the LM-2, you may need to make a selection from the list under Plugins > Innovate LM-2 (mts).

Trying to connect with my LM2 in MTS mode... I can connect in logworks but in RR logger it doesnt show up...

Am I missing something ?

Sorry to seem a complete idiot but I have tried loading logworks, getting that running and then loading RR logger... Tried all the plugins, and various other settings. A Slight hint woudl be great!

BTW I am running windows7

Thanks in advance
