02 WRX

parts list:

TD06-20G 8cm2
gruppe S header
3" ebay catless turbo back
stock airbox with gp moto elbow
tgv delete
ebay TMIC
modified stock injectors
walbro pump
hallman MBC @25 psi
93 octane E10

This runs 1/2 values on the maf. I've put about 3,000 miles on since going to the 20g and modded injectors. Everything seems well, no knock and fuel trims stay within a few pecent. I'm fairly sure the car can run high 11's, my small 16g went mid 12's. This was tuned by me, starting with a stock factory map. I have been tuning cars for years. This is fairly agressive.

I was wonder what is the size of your fuel injectors? I saw you have injector flow scaling set at 409.98.
I am thinking about running 20g as well with almost similar mods.

The injectors are 820cc modified stock injectors. The injector scaler is set to 410cc because this rom uses half values for the maf scaling and all loads to avoid the 300 g/s limit on the maf sensor.

Is your peak boost 25psi? How much it holds near redline?

I would assume 25psi. My TD05H-20G-7cm^2 w/ EWG held 24 psi solid to redline(7500rpm)

Yes it held 25 psi all the way.

I finally managed to kill the stock EJ205 shortblock. It broke a rod. Didn't spin any bearings, they looked perfect. It looks like a rod bolt broke, jammed up the rod and broke the rod in half. The rod bolt ejected itself through the top of the block.

It was running 12.3 @ 114 in 90 degree weather the day it broke, probably woudl have been high 11's in cool temps.

Did you had any compressor surge problems with 20G?

Saw the exact same thing on another OEM 2L car recently. Connecting rod fastener failure; most of the rod exited through the top of the block.
