Subaru Challenge 8/23 @ Lafayette, IN plant

A bit late to post this, but Subaru is having their Subaru Challenge event tomorrow at their Lafayette, IN auto plant (where all the Legacys and Tribecas are built). It's a SCCA run autocross and lunch. The event itself is sold out, but there's always room for spectators. If anyone in the RomRaider community is coming come say hi. I have a Black 2004 STI with a black and white "I flashed my ECU for free at OPENECU.ORG" sticker on the top of my rear window.

Also, there is still one scheduled in Kansas City this year. Plenty of time left to register! The venue changed from the parking lot of Chiefs stadium to I-70 Speedway, a race track east of here in Odessa MO.

We started auto-x events out there earlier this year. I've gone to watch but haven't made any runs yet. The track is very fun, using half of the banked asphalt oval before a section of cones in the infield / pits area.

I really doubt I'll make it to Kansas City, but I won't rule it completely out. Unless there's an Iowa home game that weekend.

Well I got my ass kicked and a wicked sun burn but it was lots of (hot) fun.

I think my power:grip ratio is a bit lean.

GT30 + 225-wide RS2's and near-stock alignment = failboat. I made the cones pay for it.

How much would you want to bet that, as slow as I'd be, someone would want to kick me out of SM because I don't have a passenger seat? I lost it in the flood.

With so few people signed up, I'm sure you could run in any class you wanted to.

The way they set the track up I don't think it's even SCCA approved. We're not real picky about rules and such down here... :lol:

They canceled the KC event due to lack of registration. :cry:
