The efficiency of a turbocharger is a measure of how much of the energy in the exhaust is used to generate airflow (hence increasing power). Turbo efficiency is often confused with compressor efficiency, but turbo efficiency is more difficult to define, as it consists of both compressor efficiency and turbine efficiency.
